EASY DIY SHAWARMA AT HOME | PITA BREAD RECIPE | EASY AND BASIC INGREDIENTS | HOW TO MAKE SHAWARMA Ingredients: Pita bread/Plato wrap: 2 cups all purpose flour (I have added 2 3/4 cups of flour in total) 2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp salt 1 cup water 2 tbsp oil Vegetables: 2pcs onion (white onion is best) 3 pcs tomatoes (remove seeds) Small cucumber (remove just the seeds) 1 small bell pepper (optional) Aioli Mayo: 1/4 cup mayonnaise 6 cloves garlic, finely minced Salt and pepper Meat and Mushroom: 6pcs skinless longganisa (I used sweet garlic style, you can use any flavor of your choice) 1 can (184g) champignon mushrooms, drained and coarsely chopped (I used Relish) 2 tbsp oyster sauce 1 tbsp brown sugar 2 cloves finely minced garlic 2 tbsp oil for stir frying PROCEDURE: 1. To make the dough for plato wrap, mix all the dry ingredients then add all the wet. Mix everything together and continue kneading by hand for about 10 mins. Add more flour as needed. Rest the dough for 15 mins then divide into 8 equal portions. Roll into balls and flatten thinly using a rolling pin on a floured surface. Cook in a hot pan without oil over medium-high heat about a minute each side. Set aside to cool (makes 8 pcs). 2. To make the aioli, combine all the ingredients and mix well to infuse garlic flavor. Set aside 3. For the meat, add some oil in a pan and stir fry skinless longganisa until lightly cooked. Add chopped mushrooms. Add garlic, oyster sauce and brown sugar. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes until even in color. Set aside to cool. 4. To assemble, take a plato wrap, spread some aioli and add some prepared vegetables and meat. You can also add more mayonnaise or hot sauce as desired. Wrap it around and enjoy! Best served warm. #ShawarmaSaBahay #QuarantineCooking
