Kosi River | Saptakoshi river Nepal | कोसी नदी। सप्तकोसी। thepointofstudy About this video:- कोसी नदी या कोशी नदी नेपाल में हिमालय से निकलती है और बिहार में भीम नगर के रास्ते से भारत प्रज्वल में दाखिल होती है। इसमें आने वाली बाढ से बिहार में बहुत तबाही होती है जिससे इस नदी को 'बिहार का अभिशाप(बिहार क शोक)'कहा जाता है। इसके भौगोलिक स्वरूप को देखें तो पता चलेगा कि पिछले 250 वर्षों में 120 किमी का विस्तार कर चुकी है। हिमालय की ऊँची पहाड़ियों से तरह तरह से अवसाद (बालू, कंकड़-पत्थर) अपने साथ लाती हुई ये नदी निरंतर अपने क्षेत्र फैलाती जा रही है। उत्तरी बिहार के मैदानी इलाकों को तरती ये नदी पूरा क्षेत्र उपजाऊ बनाती है। नेपाल और भारत दोनों ही देश इस नदी पर बाँध बना चुके हैं; हालाँकि कुछ पर्यावरणविदों ने इससे नुकसान की भी संभावना जतायी थी। यह नदी उत्तर बिहार के मिथिला क्षेत्र की संस्कृति का पालना भी है। कोशी के आसपास के क्षेत्रों को इसी के नाम पर कोशी कहा जाता है। Koshi हिन्दू ग्रंथों में इसे कौशिकी नाम से उद्धृत किया गया है। कहा जाता है कि विश्वामित्र ने इसी नदी के किनारे ऋषि का दर्ज़ा पाया था। वे कुशिक ऋषि के शिष्य थे और उन्हें ऋग्वेद में कौशिक भी कहा गया है। सात धाराओं से मिलकर सप्तकोशी नदी बनती है जिसे स्थानीय रूप से कोसी कहा जाता है। महाभारत में भी इसका ज़िक्र कौशिकी नाम से मिलता है। मार्गसंपादित करें काठमाण्डू से एवरेस्ट की चढ़ाई के लिए जाने वाले रास्ते में कोसी की चार सहायक नदियाँ मिलती हैं। तिब्बत की सीमा से लगा नामचे बाज़ार कोसी के पहाड़ी रास्ते का पर्यटन के हिसाब से सबसे आकर्षक स्थान है। अरुण, तमोर, लिखु, दूधकोशी, तामाकोशी, सुनकोशी, इन्द्रावती इसकी प्रमुख सहायक नदियाँ हैं। The Kosi river or the Kosi river originates from the Himalayas in Nepal and enters India in Bihar through Bhim Nagar.
