BL 2.4Ghz RC Helicopter 9004G PART 12 Forwards & Backwards

CSGOG BL 24Ghz RC Helicopter 9004G PART 12 Forwards & Backwards. Charged the battery this morning, put the helicopter in the car and went out for coffee and charity shopping. Weather had cleared so we went out to try flying the helicopter. I could not get any forward motion. I was wondering if it was because I wasn't giving the gyro set-up time before flying but after the next episode I think it was just my LiPo battery does not give enough power to drive the main rotor motors and the tail rotor at the same time UNLESS it is freshly charged. This LiPo is probably a year or two old and has had a fair bit of use, it may be slightly lower rating that the helicopter needs anyway so I may need to upgrade if I want to do more flying.
