They look like something out of a Dr Seuss book, but they are real! They are green all year long then lose their green leaves in April to start giving way to these super beautiful purple flowers. The trees also grow in super cool funky shapes and can be huge. They are found all over Long Beach, Lakewood, Cerritos, and surrounding areas of California. The bloom through May and June then start growing back their green leaves.
