Of all the larger-than-life chararcters in 80s metal, Blackie Lawless certainly knew how to attract attention. So much so that I think the music of WASP has often been overshadowed by the image. A lot of their music was solid Rock'n'Roll albeit with a heavy dose of sleaze. Blind In Texas has always been one of my favorites. As far as I know Blackie plays the bass on this and there are a couple of tasty runs, but what is mostly interesting is the dynamic of the verse. It feels like the bass is really driving the song, rushing forward almost like the edge of falling feeling you might have if you were running while intoxicated.
