Sinkhole swallows car in Gold Coast CBD

A sinkhole has swallowed a parked car in Southport in the Gold Coast CBD. The force of water from a broken water main on Short Street shattered part of the pavement just before dawn on Thursday – a recovery crew towed the car out around 10 am.
