Balushahi / Balushai/ Badusha - A simple mithai that tastes divine. And it takes only a few ingredients. I have received so many requests for this recipe that I had to make it :) Do try my recipe for Homemade Balushahi.. #Balushahi #Navratrirecipes #Ranveerbrar Click here to subscribe: https://goo.gl/UE2pmL Ranveer Brar App: Android - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.hungama.ranveerbrar&hl=en_IN iOS - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ranveer-brar/id1369064527 Website: https://www.ranveerbrar.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RanveerBrar Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ranveer.brar Twitter: https://twitter.com/ranveerbrar BALUSHAHI RECIPE Preparation time: 10-15 minutes Cooking time: 20-30 minutes Serves: 2-4 Ingredients 1½ cups Refined flour, मैदा 1/2 cup Ghee, घी ½ tsp Soda, सोडा ⅓ cup Curd, दही Ghee for frying, घी For Sugar Syrup 2 cups Sugar, चीनी 1 cup Water, पानी 2-3 Green Cardamom pods, हरी इलायची 1 tsp Fennel seeds, सौंफ 2-3 Black peppercorns, काली मिर्च For Garnish Pistachios, blanched, slice, पिस्ता Mango, small cubes, आम Fresh Mint leaves, पुदीना Process : For Sugar syrup: In a sauce pot,add sugar, water, green cardamom pods, fennel seeds and black peppercorns mix it well. Boil on a medium heat until it reaches a 1 string consistency , cook for two minutes more in medium heat. For Balushahi: In a large bowl, add refined flour, ghee and crumble the mixture well. Add soda, curd combine well. Additionally, sprinkle some water to make dough. Cover with moist cloth and rest for 1o minutes. Pinch a small ball sized dough and make a ball. Make a dent at the centre with the help of a thumb. Heat ghee in a deep pan, deep fry on medium hot to low flame until the balls turn golden brown and crisp. Drop them into warm sugar syrup immediately. Coat the balushahi with sugar syrup on both the sides and soak for 5 minutes. For Garnish: Finally, serve Balushahi garnished with a few slice pistachios, mango cubes and fresh mint leaves on top.

    @utterlyconfused24594 years ago The balushahi we get in small sweet Kolkata , those have leftover mawa or leftover sandesh stuffed in it. I remember in front of our tuition we had this sweet shop and whatever money we could save , at the end of the month we used to eat kochuri and alur torkari from adjacent shop and balusahi from this shop. That time we never used to get money in hand. We used to walk some distance so as to save the bus fare. And that meagre amount was a lot to us and that luchi torkari and balushahi was a real treat. Working in Bangalore for a few yrs now, stuck in lockdown presently, those memories just came like a pleasant breeze after seeing this video. Thank you so much chef. Thanks a lot
    To be frank , now I dine at fine restaurants and by God's grace quite have the privilege to taste new posh dishes. But nothing still now beats the taste of that small treat
